Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment
What is it?
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, or OMT, is a set of hands-on techniques used by osteopathic physicians (DOs) to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. Using OMT, a DO moves a patient’s muscles and joints using techniques that include stretching, gentle pressure and resistance. As part of their education, DOs receive special training in the musculoskeletal system, the body’s intricate system of muscles, nerves and bones.
Benefits
OMT can help people of all ages and backgrounds. The treatment can be used to ease pain, promote healing and increase overall mobility. Although often used to treat muscle pain, the treatment can also help patients with a number of other health problems such as:
- Asthma
- Sinus disorders
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Migraines
- Menstrual pain
Evidence based, clinically proven to prevent illness and injury.
Strains, sprains and injuries, pulled ligaments and tendon problems. Sciatica, arthritis, repetitive strain injury, posture problems or pregnancy-related issues. These are all things we commonly diagnose, treat and rehabilitate, helping you get active as quickly as possible.

Babies & Toddlers
Nurturing Their Growing Potential
Unlock your baby's full potential with osteopathy. Our gentle and specialised treatments cater to their unique needs, fostering well-being and setting the foundation for a healthy future. Discover the difference osteopathy can make for your child's well-being today.
Do they really need treatment?
Many parents question why babies and toddlers would need osteopathic treatment given this age group is so flexible, but there are some musculoskeletal problems that are seen in these age groups such as torticollis, shoulder muscle tensions from difficult births, bum shuffling or crab crawling (asymmetrical crawling) from tension in the hips or legs, and asymmetric walking from tension in the hip or knee turning one foot in.
What to expect from treatment.
Any treatment for newborns, babies and toddlers needs to be gentle. Their largely cartilaginous bones and very flexible joints and muscles mean that any type of sharp manipulative treatment is inappropriate.
Our team member Angelica Foletto has undergone extensive postgraduate training in Cranial Osteopathy, which is the subtlest form of osteopathic treatment, gently taking your baby’s body to a balance point and allowing them to unwind and relax their muscles.
Babies may be held or fed during treatment, and toddlers may sit on the table playing with toys or lay down having a book read to them.
If you or anyone you know is suffering, get in touch today. We can help!

My journey to becoming an osteopath began in 2018 while studying under the guidance of world-renowned osteopath John Gibbons at Oxford University. Learning from John had a profound impact, inspiring me to pursue a Master’s in Osteopathy at Swansea University in the United Kingdom. I have a strong clinical focus on shoulder and upper limb conditions, including frozen shoulder, rotator cuff strains, impingement syndrome, and nerve entrapments. My expertise in this area stems from both academic research and advanced training — during my time at Swansea University, I completed a dissertation on shoulder pathology, and I ...read more

Before coming to Osteopathy, I studied a degree in Neuroscience and went on to explore Shiatsu, Yoga, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi, with the wide variety of ideas and practices they delve into. My passion for Osteopathy came from my own experiences of healing injuries with the help of Osteopathic treatment. This led me to focus on how the Autonomic Nervous System controls our body's sense of health, including pain and patterns of tension held in the body and mind, developing methods involving breathing to encourage the release of stress and trauma from the body. I use a variety of Osteopathic ...read more

Since graduating with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in England, I have had the opportunity to work around the world. By integrating structural, cranial and visceral osteopathy techniques I aim to find what best suits my patients. Having worked in the television industry in London for nearly ten years I felt it was time I followed in my fathers footsteps into healthcare. Being more interested in building health rather than treating disease I decided upon the study of Osteopathy, manual therapy that attempts to improve the body’s’ function to prevent injuries from recurring, rather than masking symptoms. I studied at the oldest Naturopathic College in Europe, the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London graduating in 2007, and interned at the renowned Maidstone college of Classical Osteopathy. I then moved to Singapore ...read more

I felt such a difference in my back and hips, even after my first visit where he corrected my neck and assessed posture, and now three visits in I can highly recommend him for overall assessment and care.
